Meteorologist Nick Gunter announces departure from WSFA

This morning, popular morning meteorologist Nick Gunter officially announced his departure from Montgomery's WSFA 12 News.

Nick has been a morning and midday meteorologist at WFSA for nearly five years. He was very integral to the weather and community in central Alabama, reporting live on the scene of storms and using various digital platforms for updates on the weather.

On the air Nick stated, "I was offered an opportunity that was very difficult for me to say no to." Exact details of this new journey haven't been revealed, but it has been said that they will be released "at a later date." This post will be updated as more information becomes available.

Nick's last day will be this Wednesday, July 1st.
